Santogold be gone. 

Santi White has been forced to change her name from Santogold to Santigold. The reason? Ms. White hasn't explained exactly but it's surely likely due to one Santo Rigatuso; an '80s musician, infomercial star and one deluded dude. 

This "Santo Gold" filed a lawsuit against Santogold (following?) back in June 2008, claiming that Santi was infringing Santo's trademark. Not to mention "crushing Santo Gold's hopes of continuing his music and acting career." Hahaha. Right.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs squish out new album details.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced details of their third album. To be titled It's Blitz!, the record is the same that was apparently heavily influenced by, er, kittens, and features a helping hand from a bunch of TV on the Radio'ers. Namely Dave Sitek on production duties, frontmant Tunde Adebimpe on vocals and according to Pitchfork, guitarist Kyp Malone on tambourine. I hear he get's a very distinct sound. The album is released in the US on April 14th. That's the cover artwork at the top there by the way.


Augie March announce 'lowkeystic' tour

Fans of hearing vocals will be pleased to know that barely literate bunch Augie March are setting off on an acoustic tour. Dubbed the 'lowkeystic' tour, the run will:

"showcase the band in an intimate set up playing some very fine, very small venues, for a very fine, very small run of shows. Playing as a full band, but with a large dose of acoustic instruments. Sometimes no amplification at all, sometimes full blast electric amplification. But at all times, intimate, harmonious and close; treating each show as a lounge room romp playing a mix of all sorts of new and old material. On the quiet."

Not one for punching beer bongs to the opening strains of 'One Crowded Hour' then. Note.
