From spazzcore to sparse-core, minimalist Melbourne DIY trio
My Disco are undertaking their largest tour yet, with a jaunt across pretty much the entire planet.
Despite being regular visitors to the US of A, the trip marks the bands first time to mainland Europe and second to the UK. Between January and May this year My Disco will play a staggering 59 dates across 15 countries. "But how do they manage that with only three weeks annual leave left and all these reports due?" you cry. "And with the credit crunch what will become of their super?", you text.
After warming up with a Ramones cover set last New Years Eve in Melbourne, the band will play the Big Day Out and Laneway festivals in Melbourne, take a trip across the lake to the Camp A Low Hum festival in New Zealand and then back to Australia for Melbourne and Brisbane visits. Then in March the band jet to the US, pop over the border to Canada, back to the States, and then trek through the UK, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Finland and the Russian Federation.
