Nuts. After tickets for the MGMT shows in December sold out to fans and scalpers in record time, they've been been moved to larger - and shittier - venues.

Schedules must be tight. Rather than add dates to the duo's maiden Australian tour to appease demand, the Melbourne and Sydney venues have been changed. In Sydney the show on December 9 moves from the Enmore Theatre to the Horden Pavillion, and in Melbourne the December 11 date moves from The Palace to Festival Hall. Current ticket holders won't need to exchange tickets thankfully. Just smugly turn up to the new venue with your original ticket to gain entry.

Nothing like a gig in a giant cold barn to dampen the mood. Still, there's a silver lining to these tin shed. At 9am on Friday 5th September more tickets will be going on sale. Which also means hopefully that a bunch of ebay scalpers will lose their lives, money.

PS: If you're the person who's currently got a $650 ebay bid on hold for the Melbourne show - TAKE NOTE.
