Luke Steele is a weird guy. Or a normal guy trying to do weird things. Either because of being able to spend thousands of dollars of record label cash flying to America to mix a record and then scrap it to start again in Sydney, but still have people telling you you're a "genius", or a genuine songsmith in the heady position of having the machine at his disposal. Either way, good work if you can get it.

Steele is going on tour! Solo! To the delight of "his management, agent, fans and personal entourage." Personal entourage? Is there a hair stylist working up the back of a Priceline somewhere, drumming their fingers on the counter waiting for that call to get back on the road? Seems a weird thing to say. Also that it didn't say "Luke" in that sentence. Is it a touring intervention? That's my favourite kind of intervention! Semantics I know. However you read it, Steele is hitting the road. And there's a lot of people counting on him.

This will be the Sleepy Jackson singer's first ever solo tour. He kicks off on the 5th of August at The Toff in Town, Melbourne and finishes up in his hometown of Perth. Hop to it.
