Sydney's bastion of fine audio culture FBi radio are in trouble. Money trouble.
It sounds a little Blues Brothers-eque, but according to a press release, the station is hurting from the Global Financial Crisis and need to raise ONE MILLION DOLLARS to stay on air. The station has asked for support from the community of bands it champions, and like anything with even the barest suggestion of free drinks, the music community has responded in kind. Basically anyone who's ever picked up/booted up an instrument in the greater Sydney area and beyond are playing for the cause.
