Eminem is reportedly back in the studio after a four year lay off.
In recent times the controverisal rapper - aka Marshall Mathers - has been content working on his label and shilling his compadres in 50 Cent and Dr.Dre. (The latter whom has just finished work on his own return LP
Detox.) But according to US entertainment rag
Hollywood Insider, the rap star is now ready to lay down work that reflects the experience of coming to terms with the shooting death of his friend and fellow rapper Proof. The magazine spoke with Eminem's friend Bishop Lamont who had heard some of the new work and called it "some amazing stuff." He goes on: "He went
through what he had to go through, and now he's been able to take all
the pain and stress and put it out in his music."
This isn't the first time word has filtered through about Eminem working on a new LP. In 2007 he called through to a New York radio station during a 50 Cent interview and announced he was working on new material.
"I'm always working -- I'm always in the studio. It feels good
right now, the energy of the label. For a while, I didn't want to go
back to the studio ... I went through some personal things. I'm coming
out of those personal things [and] it feels good."
