You know how
everyone was moaning about the first lineup announcement for 2010's Big Day Out? Well for the first time in its history, the event has completely sold out.
With the announcement today that the Adelaide date has sold out within two weeks of going on sale, organisers are trumpeting the unprecedented news of all Australian Big Day Out dates having sold out - double Sydney shows included. Powderfinger fans have been mobilised. There are a couple of anomalies to this pitch however.
The lazy New Zealanders are dragging their feet, with their date on Friday January 15th yet to sell out. Organisers have also reserved about 2,000 tickets to each show for a ballot system, to be made available via the official Big Day Out website as the festival's annual effort to deter scalpers. A ballot is already underway for the sold out shows in the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, via registering your interest at the Big Day Out website. Registration for the Adelaide event will take place this Thursday October 22
