The daddy of the summer festivals, the Big Day Out, has announced a whole bunch of sideshows for artists on their line-up. Including one who isn't. Yet, anyway.
Mike Patton's spazzcore outfit Fantomas - featuring members of The Melvins, Slayer and Mr. Bungle amongst others - are curiously named as Serj Tankian's support act. Which is a shame. That it isn't the other way round I mean. But hey, I just work here.
All tickets for the shows go on sale Monday 1st December, upon which the reserve bank shall announce the credit crunch has officially razed accounts nationwide for everyone between 18 and 25. But who cares about a recession when TV on the fucking Radio are waving their wind chimes three metres from your face, really. That's "art rock" there friend, where money is nothing but a plug-in away from 92 tracks of slap-echoed "warm" subaudible humming. Mmmm. Angular.
