Rush release is the new nude wave. Goddamn this biscuit spins fast.
I was going to say Beck is following in the footsteps of the likes of The Raconteurs, Radiohead and NIN but let's face it. The whole rush release thing is fast becoming the norm. For the top end of the pop scale anyway. The indie bands, dinosaurs and middle-spectrum still needs to slug it out for five weeks in the lead up to let people know they actually exist.
The new record from Beck Hansen will be called
Modern Guilt, not
The Intervention, as previously
rumoured. Produced by Gnarls Barkley finagler Danger Mouse, the record will be available in just over two weeks. Some turnaround. Here's the track list for you trainspotters:
Orphans
Gamma Ray
Chemtrails
Modern Guilt
Youthless
Walls
Replica
Soul of A Man
Profanity Prayers
Volcano
Modern Guilt is out July 5.
