There's a line about
Band of Horses being "a group making some of the most cathartic, exuberant & exciting rock music anywhere in the world". Which sounds cool but when your recent US travel companions are The Drones, I can't help but think that by booking them as a support, you're asking for - as the Americans say - "your ass being handed to you on a plate".
Anyway they're coming to play
Splendour in the Grass in August. Which, after seeing them at Meredith a few years ago, seems a perfectly pastoral setting to take in their soothing tones and frontman Ben Bridwell's golden voice. Sure can drink can't they? Now transfer the band to smaller venues like Billboard in Melbourne and the Metro in Sydney and we might have ourselves a couple of rock sideshows.

Gig Guide for details.
