Following the ARIA Top 50 finagling of their new single ‘And The Boys’, Australia’s finest Joanna Newsom impersonators Angus and Julia Stone prep for a new album and a national tour in March and April.

The oh-so-delicate and pretty tune will be backed by a new album called Down The Way, due out next March. It was recorded all over the shop; in Coolangatta and Brooklyn and Cornwall. This is because the brother and sister have been on opposite sides of the world for the last six months (Angus here at home, Julia in the US).

Into the bargain, they’ve lined up a meandering Australian tour throughout March and April, hitting all points including WA, FNQ, Tasmania and the ACT. They’ll also drop in to Fremantle’s West Coast Blues and Roots Festival and the Byron Bay Bluesfest during their travels.

Amazingly, their first Sydney Metro show has already sold out, so they’ve added another, and are also offering an exclusive under-18 “soundcheck performance” during the afternoon before the second Metro show.

The dates are below and tickets are on sale now.  After this hike to all corners of Australia, the duo will wander through the UK, Europe and the US towards the middle of the year. Pleasant.
