Tim recently discovered at a music trivia night that there was a long-disused area of his brain which knew about early 1990s Australian girl group the Teen Queens. Another area of his brain commonly tells his fingers to press white and black keys in certain orders (he once played piano onstage while an American lady disrobed inside a balloon) and a third area enjoys telling people about which bits of the brain do what (he's a psychology lecturer at the University of Queensland). By the way, if you're reading this, you probably should thank the ventral pathway of your visual word form area.
