These days people can buy anything they want. For special people like geeks, this fact means they can live out their dreams by surrounding themselves with every day items that reflect their interests (i.e.: obsessions).

I happened upon a bunch of them on the one site, only they were presented as individual stories so I felt compelled to bring them to you in one.

1. R2D2 Soap

The geek loves Star Wars. And thanks to George Lucas’ entrepreneurial ways, the geek can select myriad licensed items for the home. Why not R2D2 soap? It’s very specific where’s the Millennium Falcon soap or the Admiral Akbar loofah? Anyway, this soap looks homemade and unlicensed.

Most geeks I know would love to rub a maintenance droid all over their thin frames. Dropping the soap would take on a whole new meaning *queue R2D2 cooing sound*

2. Koopa shell backpack

This one speaks for itself. The Nintendo geek adores cutesy shit—Mario, Zelda and Pokémon. He or she is not afraid to wear the more zany bits and pieces. Chances are they’ve got pink hair.

A Koopa shell… why didn’t I think of this? I could’ve stashed my party supplies in it, circa 1998.

3. Batman Snuggie Blanket

I used to think I couldn’t associate with anyone wearing a snuggie blanket—as it happens I still think the same thing.

This item is for the geek with no shame. He (or she, but mostly he) will do his very best to be seen in this as often as possible. Don’t invite him to the 40 Hour Famine.

4. TARDIS Bookcase

You can’t actually buy these. But if you love your geek, you’ll con your recently retired dad into slapping once together with off-cuts from the shed. Said geek will love you and buy you a virtual island in Second Life… the island you met on.

5. AT-AT Liquor Cabinet

Shit just got serious. For the geek who has it all—the AT-AT liquor cabinet would take pride of place in the billiards room. Wait, do geeks even play billiards? Skyrimming room. Someone clearly has too much time. Personally, I’d load that thing up with amps, crossovers and speakers—drinks belong in the esky!
