All but one song from next month's The Beatles: Rock Band music game has been revealed.
The 45 song tracklist spans the entire career of the Fab Four, even including a mashup from 2006's wonderful "Love" album.
The Beatles: Rock Band allows fans to pick up the guitar, bass, microphone or drums to experience The Beatles’ peerless catalogue of music through gameplay that takes players on a journey through the legacy and evolution of the band’s hugely influential career.
From the early touring days in 1963 Liverpool to the final performance on the Apple Corps rooftop, fans can follow in The Fab Four’s footsteps as they traverse the globe during the height of Beatlemania. And for the first time in a music videogame, The Beatles: Rock Band introduces three-part vocal harmonies.
The full tracklist can be viewed below. Anyone want to guess what the missing song is? Notable omissions at the moment include She Loves You, No Reply, Help!, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, Nowhere Man, Got to Get You into My Life, A Day in the Life, Magical Mystery Tour, Strawberry Fields Forever, Penny Lane, Lady Madonna, Hey Jude, Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey and Across the Universe.
Entire Beatles albums will also be available for additional purchase via download after the game's September 9 release. The brilliant Abbey Road will be available first on October 20, then Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band in November and Rubber Soul in December. The albums will cost US$16.98 or individual tracks can be purchased for US$1.99 each.
The hefty Australian pricing for the game has also been revealed. The Premium Bundle, which includes a replica of the Hofner bass controller used by Paul McCartney, a Ringo Starr inspired and Ludwig-branded Rock Band 2 drum set, microphone, microphone stand, game software and special game accessories, will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii for $369 through JB Hi Fi, Dick Smith, Gamesmen and Game stores. The software is compatible with all existing all Rock Band instrument controllers, as well as most Guitar Hero peripherals. The game will be sold software-only at most leading game retailers for $89 (PS3, 360) and $79 (Wii).
