Xbox 360 owners can play with one of Hollywood's hottest actresses this weekend.

Megan Fox, star of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, will be online on Sunday, August 30 at 8am (Australian Eastern Standard Time) to challenge fans in multiplayer matches on the game Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

The "Game with Fame" matches are to celebrate the release of new downloadable content for the Transformers game, which includes Generation One Transformers characters and new multiplayer maps.

Megan says she is an avid gamer and her gamertag for users to add to their friends list is “Megan Fox 2009”. Fans can visit www.xbox.com/gwfmeganfox for more information.

Meanwhile, Microsoft announced today that it has slashed the price of the Xbox 360 Elite console by $100. The price cut is a swift response to Sony's cheaper new PlayStation 3 console, which goes on sale next week.

The "Elite" Xbox 360, which comes with a 120GB hard drive, will now cost $449, starting September 22. For the first month buyers will also get a copy of Halo 3: ODST.

The existing "Pro" model will be phased out but remains at $399 while stocks last, while the cheapest "Arcade" version remains at $299.

“With Christmas right around the corner, it’s already time to start looking for entertainment and gifts that everyone will enjoy,” says Microsoft's David McLean. "If you’re looking for a fantastic social entertainment experience that won’t break the bank, then now is the time to purchase an Xbox 360. I believe we’ve got the best games, more ways to connect with friends and family and so much more on the horizon."
