This year's Guitar Hero 5 will feature 85 songs on its bulging disc when released in September, and Activision has revealed the first two dozen tracks.
The eclectic selection includes the folk rock of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” to the thumping drums of Coldplay’s “In My Place” as well as indie darling Vampire Weekend’s “A-Punk” and the Beastie Boys’ rock/hip-hop hit “Gratitude”.
Many artists are making their video game debut, including Band of Horses, Darkest Hour, Elliott Smith, John Mellencamp, Rose Hill Drive, The Bronx, Tom Petty and Vampire Weekend.
Aussie artists featured in the game include Wolfmother. To celebrate, Wolfmother will also make their first single off their upcoming album Cosmic Egg, “Back Round”, available for free digital download from the official Guitar Hero 5 website.
