Tumblr trumps blogs
Tumblr, the home of… everything. You name it; some schmoe has a Tumblr site dedicated to it. Now, according to Google, the search term “tumblr” is more popular than “blog.” In fact, “blog” as a search term has been declining since mid-2009… which is about the time that Facebook and Twitter really started gaining ground. It just goes to show that status updates are the preferred method of bragging for the majority of users and proper blog entries are old-hat (not to mention time consuming).
