Lance Armstrong admits longtime doping denial was "one big lie"
Fallen cycling legend Lance Armstrong has admitted his longtime denial of doping was "one big lie."
During the much-hyped interview with Oprah Winfrey airing as we write, Armstrong responded "yes" to accusations of blood doping and taking substances including EPO (erythropoietin), cortisone, human growth hormone and testosterone, for all seven of his Tour de France wins.
When Oprah asked, "In your opinion, was it humanly possible to win the Tour de France without doping, seven times in a row?" he responded, "Not in my opinion."
Describing his attitude after his fight with testicular cancer as "win at all costs", Armstrong admitted "I was a bully, in the sense that I tried to control the narrative."
The International Olympic Commission asked him to return his time trial bronze medal from the 2000 Sydney Olympics last night, stripping him of his last major title.
