Christian Aslund's Jim Rickey campaign turns streets into a 2D video game

Swedish photographer Christian Aslund has created an incredible advertising campaign for sneaker brand Jim Rickey.

Dubbed “Honkey Kong”, Aslund shot the models in awkward horizontal positions on the streets of Hong Kong, using a tele lens to make the images appear flat and the scenes vertical.

A “tribute to classic 2D platform games” that aims to “integrate the person with the street scenes”, it makes us feel like we’re navigating a real life version of Super Mario (the peaked cap really helps). Perfection.
