It's often the simplest ideas that are the best. That's why we like the YoungMeNowMe project that was started by those creative kids at Colorwars 2008*.

All you have to do to play is dig through that batch of kidlet photos (which is probably lurking somewhere at your mum's), find a photo of your young self looking suitably adorable, then replicate the pose with the slightly bloated current day version of yourself.

The Colorwars people have a brilliant gallery of shots up already. If you'd like yours to be featured too, just check out the instructions on how to participate.

Have fun. And try not to get too miffed about the contrast between the fresh-faced whippersnapper and the washed-up old fool when you're confronted with the end result.

*Colorwars 2008 is an American site that is loosely described as "summer camp for adults". Basically you get into teams and play a bunch of games. Upcoming challenges include SmackTalk Haiku, Google Street View Scavenger Hunt and Badge Making. It's probably the greatest procrastination tool you'll ever come across.
