The Keep Calm and Carry On will-not-f-off-and-die phenomena has mutated in a slightly more palatable form.  Now that over saturation of middle-class kitchens, smug apartment magazines and wanna be poster "entrepreneurs" has reached critical mass - the tongue in cheek is well and truly poking it hard with some really great parodies of this classic (but questionable) piece of propaganda.

The original "Keep Calm and Carry On" was a British Government political dampener on homeland panic about the war in the late thirties.  Guess what? Panic is normal when your family might have their lives bombed to pieces.

It is no co-insidence that this poster has made a re-appearance and garnered stupidly massive popularity in shaky political times.

Here's a salute to the parodies that remind us that keeping calm and carrying on serves government interests, but perhaps not our own.
