A Bubblegum Rainbow Studio Visit with Pilgrim Lee
Who's saying what
Pilgrim Lee is a bit of a doll. And in saying that, I wish they did make a bubblegum flavoured doll that was an artist, with a cute smile that lived in a rad sixties home with lots of guitars and a sweet three year old.
It would be nice if role models were as neat as Pilgrim. Just imagine the new generation of art making, music loving, fashion plate ladies that would be growing up if it were true.
Today I went for a studio visit to Pilgrim Lee's rainbow den in a secret cul de sac a stones throw from Prahran. We talked about how lucky she was to have a groovy grandma, about nostalgia, about old school typography and about re-finding yourself after becoming a mum.
She is about to launch a cool new project of art and design this coming spring time over at Draw Pilgrim.
Here is Pilgrim's sweet 5 x 5 to accompany our studio visit. Don't forget to have a peep at the cool glimpses of her little space.
