Twenty Five thoughts from Cate Lawrence, one of the amazing craftsters taking part in Craft Victoria's Craft Hatch - where emerging designers take over Melbourne's City Library and display their wares. It's on this Saturday 24 January from 11am - 4pm, City Library (253 Flinders Lane, Level 1, gallery and conference room).

1. Peter Callesen, he does the most breath taking paper cut sculptures
2. Rayna Fahey, founder of radicalcrossstitch.com and imaginative activist!
3. Cat Mazza, combines craft and digital mediums to politicize the lethargic
4. Shelli Dorfe, a most charming artist whose work makes me feel warm and fuzzy
5. Leah Kramer, creater of craftster.com who took craft back from nanna stereotypes.

Five reasons rabbits are cool:
1. Rabbits are extremely social and personable when living cage free

3. Rabbits have wiggly noses and fluffy tails
4. Rabbit poo can be recycled as garden fertiliser as they are vegetarian
5. Rabbits have attitude. The wrath of a rabbit is something to be seen.

Five people you'd invite to a fantasy dinner party:

1. Chris Chinchilla, my husband

3. Ian McEwan, one of my favourite writers
4. Naomi Klein, author and activist
5. Nancy Drew, things always happen when she's around…

Five best creative recycling projects:
1. De-constructed t shirts, anyone can be creative with a t shirt and a pair of scissors

Five hopes for 2009:
1. To transform Craftea Chat workshops into a 'not for profit' business, providing crafting, training and social resources for women with mental illness.
2. To make my own vodka homebrew style
3. To grow my hair
4. To go vintage shopping in New York
5. To launch officially launch www.greenrenters.org , a blog co-authorered by my husband and myself.
