The record industry may well be in a huff about declining sales, illegal downloads and the rich getting richer, but it hasn't stopped the run of high ARIA charting new records from Oz artists.

Gyroscope, Cut Copy, Cog and The Presets have all debuted at No 1 or top 10 respectively in the last few months. Sure, the No 1 spot isn't the zillion selling, tip of the iceberg that it used to be - The Presets are at No 6 after three weeks, Cut Copy at 28 after six and Gyroscope No 45 after eight - but it's a sign that tall those hours in the van still add up.

Now Sydney hip-hop crew Bliss n Eso are the latest debutantes. Their latest record Flying Colours has entered the charts at No 10. The follow up to 2006s Day of the Dog, it's now the second time the band have hit the ARIA charts. Golf claps.

The band are in the midst of a tour around the nation, to continue throughout May. They must have some kind of concession card deal because nearly every show is at a University. Presumably to get your show and your Keg Party Membership at the same time.
