Ten L-plate filmmakers with big-screen dreams enrolled themselves in film school and made this feisty Australian feature in under a year!
Sweet Marshall tells the story of a man who has it all -- then loses it when he is imprisoned for a robbery he didn’t commit. It stars Paul Winchester, with Amber Grokken, Jennifer Isabelle King and Neveille Bhamgara, and guest stars Paul O’Brien (
Home and Away).
Participate Film Academy is the only film school in Australia that teaches you how to make a movie, while you actually
make a movie. Since the school opened at Australian Technology Park in Sydney, in 2005, more than 160 people have learnt how to make full-length feature films via its 12-month, part-time filmmaking course.
Students have now completed four productions all the way from pitching the story idea, through production, to staging a red carpet premiere. The
Sweet Marshall crew created their own 90-minute feature to a standard that would make any movie producer proud, on a tiny budget that would leave them astonished.
Enjoy a spectacular night out. Celebrate young talent. Come to the
Sweet Marshall premiere and after party on Wednesday 22 April 2009, 6 pm, at Hoyts EQ. Trailers, tickets and more information at
www.sweetmarshall.com.
Anyone can experience the thrill of making a feature film from scratch. Participate is currently accepting its next intake of students, with classes starting in late April 2009. Go to
