My partner and I drove from Leichhardt out to Castle Hill at midday on Saturday. We deliberately did not have lunch as we expected to dine at the "stunning alfresco restaurants and eateries" as advertised. As I am a vegetarian, I sometimes need to choose carefully when dining out, however did not expect to have any problems at the "Good Food Affare". I was proved wrong. But the time we paid for parking and arrived for lunch at 1:30pm, most of the stalls had sold out and the only restaurant were booked out. The only food available was pies, sausages and cupcakes. The rest of the food stalls were selling produce. I discussed the issue with staff at the info tent, but the young bloke just shrugged his shoulders. Needless to say, we left very dissatisfied. $20 (including road tolls) and 3.5 hours later, we had lunch at home.
