An emcee, beatboxer, bboy and DJ will be freestyling and dropping to beats amidst discussions about the relevance of hip hop culture in Australia.
‘FULL TILT- The Talk Show’ will represent the most popular developing music style in Melburn – hip hop. The skills of hip hop largely exist with self taught performers and here they will be celebrated as a valuable part of our vibrant arts culture.
Discussions include balancing one's own cultural identity as a hip hop performer with approval of family, peers and the arts industry in an art form that is often linked to negative stereotyping.
Hip hop is a growing culture that is ‘Aussie Hip Hop’ regardless of race, religion or spoken languages. Its relevance and capacity for self-expression is discussed here amongst Melburn's finest talent.
