At first glance, the sculptures of fake fur and soft toys are pure whimsy.  Oversized slices of bread, a smiling hot pink carrot, little blue bunnies lining up behind a fake fur guillotine.  It’s cute and quirky.

Yet the shadow lying beneath the surface of innocence is never far away.  The childlike appeal hijacks our innate urge to connect and draw you in to contemplate more ambiguous themes of intimacy, sexuality and control.

Playing with assumptions and contradiction, the work is mischievous, thought-provoking and just a little bit perverted.
