The best and worst dressed of the MTV Video Music Awards
The MTV Awards are something of a promised land when it comes to Red Carpet Watching, because Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry are always there, accompanied inevitably by Young A-Listers, so you really get the full spectrum of fashion-expression.
This year, it was all about the chop, from Miley Cyrus' frankly pretty silly space-wizard faux hawk to Emma Watson (who recently told a magazine she hates her hair long, and doesn't give a whiff what boys think)'s pixie. Even Rihanna went weave-less.
Perhaps because it hits so very, very soon before New York Fashion Week, the style on display wasn't quite as intense as one could hope for, but in the Award-season in-between times, we'll take what we can get.
