Talisa Sutton is the illustrator, graphic design student and budding style maven behind our favourite new blog Badlands, here she presents us with some fantastically French Christmas gifts.

This Christmas all I can think about is Paris! There is something so romantic about a white Christmas, and while I have never had one before these are a few of the Parisian themed gifts on my wishlist.

Clockwise from top:

1. Rose Bakery cookbook
One of the sweetest cafes in Paris, this is perfect gift for those who dream of trying their famous carrot cake.

2. Bonjour Tristesse
One of my favourite stories that always leaves me wishing I was holidaying in France for the summer. I would actually really like the boxed set of all the Penguin 'great loves', the selection of authors and cover artwork is amazing.

3. Deyrolle butterflies
Rohan has started a tradition of buying me a new one every Christmas. I have two so far (both blue) and I think I would like a red one this time!

4. Carven Wool felt coat
& Gargoyle print pullover
Technically this is two things but Carven has quickly become one of my favourite French labels and I just couldn't choose! How perfect would these be for European winter?

5. Dior 'oui' ring
All I can say is YES please!

6. Passion by Godard
I have Breathless and Contempt on DVD but there are still a few Godard films I am yet to see, and DVDs make the perfect stocking filler.

7. Thomsen shirts
Another very lovely French label that make perfect slim-cut shirts. I would really love any colour/print!

8. Isabel Marant feather choker
I love the navajo collection that Isabel did for winter. This is probably one of the more wearable pieces that would add the perfect amount of Parisian bohemian to any outfit.

9. APC candle
The Jasmin and Fig fragrances are my favourite, you always need candles!

10. Balenciaga L'essence
"Containing all the essential elements of Balenciaga Paris, the iconic L’Essence reconnects with the couture spirit of the fashion house. On the skin, violet leaves are like a blast of woodland and their youthful energy stimulates the skin."

Between the description and the packaging, what's not to love?
