Designer baby gear for Miranda Kerr and Princess Mary

Designer baby gear for Miranda Kerr and Princess Mary
On Friday afternoon, Miranda Kerr went into labour and on Saturday, so did Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. Miranda's first baby with Orlando Bloom is a boy, while Princess Mary gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl.

While no baby names have been announced yet, one thing is safe to say, these chitlens are all going to be raised in obscene luxury.

Lucky for them, plenty of designer brands are happy to provide the finer things in life, even for those so young they won't remember them. Armani, Dior, Burberry, D&G, Fendi and Ralph Lauren all do children's wear, and Gucci will be launching its kids line in Australia later this month.

Then there are the childrearing accoutrements like prams, sippy-cups and nappy bags. On this side of business, Tiffany provide literal silver spoons, combs and cups, while Cartier offer silver identity bracelets for newborns. As for prams, the most expensive in the world come from UK company Maclaren, which makes strollers that retail for up to $5000 a pop.

Even newborn scents have been given the luxury twist, with Bvlgari's childhood memory evoking fragrance Petits et Mamans.

Here are some kiddy-themed luxury goods (with price-tags to make your eyes bulge) we imagine might have been wrapped at Australia's latest yummy-mummy baby showers.
