Karen Walker has a history of casting critters. They’ve starred in several of her campaigns, but this season for her Superfine jewellery line, she’s taken a different tack, literally casting creatures in silver and gold to create a collection of light, subtle pieces with a touch of the weird.
Cat, bear and bunny faces reminiscent of theatre masks dangle from ears, tinkle as charms and swing off pendants. The range has all the Karen Walker hallmarks – a kooky naivety of form that balances an outsider’s take on cool with a more mass appeal.
