Soon the spring summer shoes will be in store. Right now, it's still freezing and there's some great shoe bargains to be had.
Technically, winter is on its way out and we should all be looking forward to getting into our gladiator sandals. Right now though, I'm wearing two dresses and a slip, woollen tights plus socks and winter boots. It's still freezing. Melbourne is frozen like a block of ice. Sydney is rainy and cold too. Bris Vegans are reporting that it's almost too cold to get in the water. And for you northerners, that's saying something.
So it's quite simply still boot season. You'll be glad to note that lots of labels have their boots on sale, like
Andrea and Joen. Others like Diana Ferrari have all-year round affordable numbers and they always surprise with one or two really spot-on styles. Gucci are king of boots in this office. Just have a look at the stub detail on our favs (pictured). They kill me. I could splurge on these then get all my clothes from the kids section at K-Mart for the rest of the year. With boots this killer, people would still comment on how amazing I look, even though I'm wearing $12 cardies.
Of course every bogan worth their salt knows that
ugg boots are an incredibly warm winter footwear solution. They are, however, indoor footwear only. Never wear these outside! It does not matter what Paris did, or Li Lo for that matter. You look like a 14-year-old mother of three.
If you are a 14-year-old mother three, I would suggest you tap that baby bonus and get into Gucci. There's a store on Collins Street, Melbourne and if you ask nicely they'll deliver to your flat.
