Tatty Devine are the god-mothers of acrylic jewels. Movie Mayhem is
their new range, delivering a whole lot of sweet plastic pleasure
straight out of Brick Lane.
Laser cut out of acrylic, Movie Mayhem features everything you could associate with the movies, except perhaps a back row pash. There's sweet 3D glasses, popcorn and film reels in earrings, pendants and brooches. 3D glasses have been quite a theme with a few different labels lately, and the Tatty Devine earrings are particularly cute.
Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine launched the whole lazer-cut acrylic jewellery thing back in 2001. Since then they have spawned a range of imitators and they now face some stiff competition, including Australian labels
Love and
Scoops Design. Unlike loads of imitators, Tatty put lots of love into their hand-made pieces and will put extra love into a handmade name necklace for you.
The girls still call the top end of Brick Lane home, and they take pleasure in delivering to Australia. You can also find them in Fat, Genki and Incu.
