Nike Dunk Liberty
Posted in Fashion by SNEAKERFREAKER on May 26, 11:03AM
Here’s a pair for the girlygirls! In this day and age of new shit coming at you every two seconds, the Liberty Dunk has some serious history behind it. Set in a famous Tudor building in the heart of London’s West End, Liberty is an old-school department store that prides itself on scouring the globe for goods that excite their clientele. During a field-trip to the historic store, Nike designers took inspiration from the store’s signature all-over prints and decided to use them on a series of Dunks, delivering this quilt-ish floral model as well as the upscale cherry bombers. Available now in good Nike stockists.
About the Nike Dunk
In 1985, culture and sport
crossed genres with an intensity never before witnessed and a new age
of self-expression was born. Representing this movement was the Nike
Dunk. It turned teams into tribes, individuals into movements, and the
definition of a basketball shoe on its head. 22 years later, what was
born on the hardwoods now lives among a global neighbourhood. The Dunk
is a basketball shoe, a skate shoe, a vintage shoe, a piece of history,
and a work of art. But above all the Dunk is a reminder of what happens
when you’re true.
About Liberty
Since 1875, Liberty in London has
been synonymous with luxury and great design. Arthur Liberty’s
intuitive vision and pioneering spirit led him to travel the world
looking for individual pieces to inspire and excite his discerning
clientele.
