For many, the perfect handbag is as simple as a pair of interlocking Cs, some quilted leather and a chain strap. But for those looking to stand out from the crowd there is Folie á Deux – the debut collection of limited edition artisan handbags from creative duo

Each handbag is made from wool in rich, sombre colours, and crowned with an antler handle. Relax. No animals died in the making. The handle is made from polyurethane and glass.
Only thirty-six Folie á Deux bags have been made – each one was hand-sewn by
local LA artisans and marked with a unique identification number. Even the
aluminium links that join the handle to the bag were custom-designed
for the project.
Behind the stunning collection are designers Tiffani Williams and Parker Brooks. They call themselves a design company rather than a fashion house and their collaboration is one of experimentation, risk and singular vision. Growing out of a respect for craftsmanship, or as Williams puts is, “a deep, blue collar love of the mechanics of art,” the collection recalls a time before mass-produced luxury.
There are still are small number of Folie á Deux bags available, and like every truly great handbag, the price is on application. Get the horn bag while you can.
