So unless you're in Bris Vegas right now, you're probably thinking "why the hell do I want to know about new T-shirts?". Well, fair enough. It might bw properly chilly, but you could always do with this AOK design, or that cat Enzo underneath your hoodie, under your leather jacket, beneath your scarf.
Das Monk is Marc Hendrick. He toils away on all his T-shirt designs in a monk-like cell in Sydney. Much like the Franciscans came up with superb liquors in their monasteries, he comes up with a bunch of new designs every couple of months.
Right now, the biggest sellers are AOK and Don't Mess. The pattern in the AOK tee is from a type-face Marc found. The cat is his own cranky cat Enzo.
Marc has tried various ways to make Enzo famous. He once tried to list him on the superb website
Mycathatesyou.com. Finally, Enzo got his mug on this T-shirt. He's still cranky, but he's a well-recognised cranky.
Marc sells his tees at
Bondi and
Glebe markets, at
Paris Texas Surry Hills, in New Zealand at a store called Slick Willy's and soon online in the UK via The Electric Press. You can also grab them at the
Das Monk online store for $49.95.
If you're still thinking, "it's winter, I don't need T-shirts" never forget that a woman will always judge you by your tee.
