Olga Kurylenko has escaped
Germaine Greer's abrasive gaze, perhaps because she's such a cute dresser. No Narciso Rodriguez's butchers' aprons here. Kurylenko, the Bond girl from Quantum of Solace, knows how to rock 1) prairie-style summery frocks 2) not very much at all 3) amazing heels and jeans.
Kurylenko, 29, is from the Ukraine and like plenty of peeps from that time and place called the USSR had an impoverished time growing up. Fortunately for her, she's really, really ridiculously good looking. So by 16 she was in Paris working hard for her money, so hard for it honey, as a model. Paris is a running theme in her life and she appeared in
Paris Je T'aime in 2006 with Elijah Wood playing the
hottest vampire of all time.
Kurylenko has the fashion sensibility of one who grew up in a Soviet flat but has tasted the fine silky threads of Parisian couture. Now she's one of the Bond girls, no doubt her wardrobe will improve with free gifts and she'll end up with a stylist and someone to carry her handbag for her.
