Vivienne Westwood showed her Anglomania Spring/Summer 2009 collection at Berlin fashion week yesterday. She left the gypsy men out of it and instead worked with a gaggle of playful models who were encouraged to show some 'tude on the catwalk.
It's a hard job staying at the top of the punk frock game. Westwood has to continually seek new ways to shock and delight. You can't be forever sticking safety pins in ears and ripping up tartan after all! This time she injected nautical themes with a little pirate whiskey in the form of a Jack Daniels-esque logo. She went to town on the bright colours - reds, blues, greens, yellows - using an appealing black zigzag motif. And look! Animal T-shirts! Totally wearable.
Anglomania is the affordable end of VW's design spectrum, so come 2009 you'll be able to head over to her website to buy some great pieces.
