Ghost bikes are memorials in the form of painted white bikes chained near the spots where loved ones have fallen.
On a brighter note, the
8th Annual Bicycle Film Festival is on in November; Sydney from 13th to the 15th and in Melbourne from 19th to the 23rd. It's been kicking off around the world and there's a shed load of
international film festival photos on Flickr. Entries have closed for submitting films for the Australian dates, so now we just look forward to having a a riot.
