Supermarket Sarah opens with an image of Sarah Bagner’s living room wall. Adorned with an eclectic mix of fashion, art, and other cultural trinkets Sarah’s living room doubles as the vivacious young blonde’s online supermarket. Showcasing an array of vintage clothes, weird and wonderful objects and selected works of new designers, the supermarket changes regularly, and each change heralds a new theme upon the wall. Purchasing from Supermarket Sarah is as simple as clicking on the wall item that interests you most. Sourcing her wares from all over England, Sarah took a moment to speak to The Vine about her unique online project…

Where did you get the idea for 'the Supermarket'?
Supermarket Sarah:
I worked as a creative online and really wanted to touch and feel the real world again. I started doing Portobello market and loved meeting people and really interacting with the world again. I was also assisting top stylists and getting a feel for my own style. My boyfriend Henrik Delehag is an artist and also helped me find my voice. I realized the online world could work for me again but this time in a new format.

How do you chose items for the Supermarket?
Supermarket Sarah: When I worked as a creative I would browse the web for ideas and I want my 'wall' to be as much about shopping for inspiration as it is for shopping for items so when I choose items I'm really keen for them to have an inspiring concept behind them. I love Fred Butlers work as it is conceptually brilliant and also beautifully crafted. If it makes me smile its usually a winner.

What inspires you?
Supermarket Sarah: Flea markets and car boots are my temples of inspiration. So many stories. I love ephemera.

What does every wardrobe need?
Supermarket Sarah: More vintage!

Describe your own style?
Supermarket Sarah: I'm loving these ugly 80s pleated trousers. I love mixing all ages, 80s with 50s is my favourite. I don't really care where my clothes are from if they cost 1p from a supermarket junk box or £100 by a new designer. If I like it, I like it. I'm not super preened, my hair is usually a mess of curls but I've borrowed/stolen my mum’s pink Dior lipstick which I'm enjoying playing with!

What can we look forward to from Supermarket Sarah?
Supermarket Sarah: For Fashion week I asked the extraordinary art director, Fred Butler to guest curate my supermarket wall and I’m so excited with the result! The Wall is not live yet so this is just a sneak peak! Images are attached. It will go live over London Fashion Week when all the items will be available to buy, many have been featured in Vogue, Time Out and most recently the music video for La Roux . We also have a great Art wall coming up during Freize art fair which will be guest curated by Henrik Delehag.
