Designer’s have been taking advice from The Little Mermaid’s crustacean friend Sebastian and have turned to under the sea for inspiration. Since Romance was Born’s Doiles and Shells, Oysters and Peals collection, I’ve noticed fashion’s accessories designers have nodded in favour of the Octopus.
The eight-legged animal has not only ended up as a magnificent crocheted bonnet at Romance Was Born, but also as a turquoise cocktail ring by Kenneth Jay Lane. Antonia Palladino has also released a gold and silver octopus ring option, which is owned by octopi lover Jane Aldridge of blog Sea of shoes.
