The world has a new street style site,
turneout.tv.Question is, once you've already got the Sartorialist and Lookbook, do we need another site that just shows us what other people are wearing in other places? Basically, anyone with a camera and an eye for style can set up, or contribute to, a site like this.
Maya Villiger, the New Zealand-born founder of the site says 'it’s about giving style-hungry readers everywhere a peek at what’s happening in great cities around the world. We want to inspire likeminded people with really fresh and beautiful street style photographs with bite sized commentary on our favourite brands, people and places. It’s a concise, well considered selection of snaps, updated daily.”
It's lots of fun to see what other people are wearing. It gives you great ideas about how to work with your own wardrobe. The one massive downside to it is that everyone everywhere starts to dress exactly the same. The whole idea of a Berlin/Auckland/Reykjavik look is out the window because everyone's in jazz shoes and high-waisted jeans.
What do you think? Do we need another site like this?
