What can fashion do to save the planet? Well, it can raise money for Al Gore's Climate Project for start.

Mariel Gamboa's label L.E.N.Y. does just that, trading in celebrity-designed T-shirts, bags and tracksuits by famous types like Marc Newsom, model Irina Lazarenau, rouseabout Pete Doherty, supermodel Eva Herzigova and uber stylist Melanie Ward.

Now on its fourth edition, the L.E.N.Y. project began with the simple T-shirt, and has only branched out in this latest range. Celebs, it seems, are well and truly able to design beyond the humble T-shirt. Corine Roitfeld's daughter, Julia Restoin Roitfeld has contributed a tote design, while French uber store Colette have designed the coolest tracksuit ever.

Gamboa approaches creative celebrities who she thinks would contribute astounding designs, though some like Italian designer Stefano Pilati have contacted L.E.N.Y to participate in the project.

Most designs are quite subtle, with very little in the way of political or environmental statements. Teresa Missoni's is a delicate and feminine design, while Melanie Ward's bag is total pop art. One exception is Brana Wolf's You've Been Warmed T-shirt. Note that Australia's at the centre of this one. Wolf is one of our greatest fashion exports. In 2007 Forbes listed the fifty-something stylist as one of the eight most powerful fashion editors in America.

Grab your piece of L.E.N.Y edition four at the end of this month at stores like 10 Corso Como, Milan or The Corner Shop, Sydney.
