David Shrigley, Tilda Swinton and Ryan McGinley are three famous Scots that Pringle of Scotland has hired to boost its cool-Scots quota.

McGinley shot a short art film starrring Swinton for the brand. Shrigley did a short animation before the recent show and has also drawn some illustrations for Pringle T-shirts.

If you're not familiar with Shrigley, I pity you. On the otherhand, your life is about to improve ... NOW. He has a regular gig with The Guardian newspaper, which publishes his unsettling, absurd and hilarious sketchy cartoons. He makes excellent objects, also absurb, such as the cocaine and heroin shakers*. He does exhibitions and that sort of thing, and has made many T-shirts before these Pringle ones. You can buy things like limited edition art books too.

All in all, Pringle and Scotland as a whole have a lot to be proud of in David Shrigley. Shrig-doggy should also be proud that the venerable cashmere house saw fit to align themselves with his mentalism when he previosuly knew nothing about fashion.
