Do you love a Burberry trench? I love to look at them, and seeing other people wear them. They're a classic. But when I wear them, I look like I'm wearing a cummulus cloud and/or stole my mum's clothes.

Burberry think there's more than a few people out there who love a bit of trench action, so they've set up a trench fanciers website for you all to go share your obsession - artofthetrench.com.

Mr fashion shooter man of the moment, Scott "The Sartorialist" Schuman, shot the first lot of images. He's obviously working somewhere much more wintery than the St Kilda promenade, where the current sartorialising involves bikinis, winter skin and a plague of jellyfish.

Burberry love to get online. They had Macs set up at their recent London Fashion Week party so guests could blog about the awesome canapes and champagne. They let fans pre-order winter trenches via their website straight after the parade. Unlike a lot of old-time fashion houses, they actually get that fashion fans have a huge online community, and they support websites like ours with 25% of their advertising spend.

Did I ever tell you about the time my friend found a Burberry trench at an op-shop here in Australia? The lovely old lady said that amazing thing that they all seem to learn by rote "Oh, that will be 70 cents love." God, you can't even buy a bag of mixed lollies for that anymore! There will be plenty more stories like this on the new site for sure.
