Thank you, men of the world, for dressing with flair this year.
The rise of street style coverage and certain strong fashion blogs - such as
Mister Mort - mean we had great fun choosing the genuinely stylish gents that make up this list.
We looked for classic style with a twist. That twist is found on Jarvis, by way of chunky specs, on Mister Mort in a floral T-shirt or a bow tie, on Mark Ronson in an array of touchy textiles.
In 2009 suits were sharp, and tailoring had a resurgance. Patrick Grant, Saville Row tailor, passionately fought to bring bespoke back to the lexicon. It was embraced by those who realised that a good way to beat a recession is to tailor existing clothes, or to buy once and buy well.
In no particular order, please enjoy the men in the gallery above.
