I've had a couple of people suggest over the past few days that I run a story on how to dress well for wet weather. Much as I would love to dish out advice unfortunately, as a drowned rat myself, I'm still looking for someone to school me in soggy style first. So instead, let's take a look back at that glorious Indian Summer Europe experienced in early October, when even the Londoners could sunbake (for an afternoon or two at least).

As well as being well dressed, these photographs should give you hope. What they represent is the idea that it may be utterly miserable now, but maybe come May, our weather will (like our fashion trends) mimic Europe's, and hold on to Summer's sunshine just that little bit more into Autumn.
