GISELE’S FIVE YEAR OLD NIECE IS A FASHION DESIGNER
So, here’s the dumbest thing you’ll hear all day: Gisele Bundchen’s five-year-old niece has become a fashion designer. Yes, FIVE. Even though she’s practically no bigger than a sewing machine, little Duda Bundchen has collaborated (I mean seriously) with Brazilian label Brandili Mundi to create a new line of children’s clothes.
“She told us about her preferences in prints, cuts and details, and based on the briefing we received from her we came up with a collaborative collection,” marketing director Germano Costa told Forbes magazine.
Yeah. Here’s how I reckon that “briefing” went down: “I LIKE PUPPIES! AND UNICORNS! AND BUTTERFLIES! PINK AND BLUE! STARS! A RAINBOW PRINCESS! I WANT A SNACK!”
Anyway, the next time you see a fashion designer crapping on about how hard their job is, just remember that APPARENTLY A FIVE YEAR OLD CAN DO IT.
ANNA’S THE WINTOUR OF ROBERTO CAVALLI’S DISCONTENT
It must be fun being Italian designer Roberto Cavalli. Sure he’s got a face like a smashed crab but he’s got stacks of cash, loads of celebrity friends, a flashy Florence pad and is probably the only person in the world who can bag Anna Wintour and get away with it. Well, at least so far. It’s yet to be seen how the notoriously prickly Vogue editor will react to Cavalli’s latest interview with Italian newspaper Repubblica in which he slags off American clothing and basically describes Wintour as Kim Jong Il of the fashion world.
“Just look at American fashion, which is almost fashion – it’s terrible and you almost can’t even look at it,” he says.
“It has been driven by a great journalist, Anna Wintour, who wants all women to be like her and to dress the way she does.”

STELLA MCCARTNEY GETS JOHNNY DEPP TO SING ABOUT TAMPONS
When famous muso Paul McCartney asked his famous fashion designer daughter Stella McCartney to help come up with ideas for his new music video, she had the perfect idea: Get famous actors Johnny Depp and Natalie Portman to look pretty in black and white and do sign language to the lyrics. GREAT IDEA! Except neither actor actually knows sign language, which is why they apparently ended up signing the words “tampon” instead of “appear” and “enemy” instead of “valentine”. Slight problem with a love song called “My Valentine”. (Although I have to say the new lyric “Then she tampon, a love so fine, my enemy” makes the song infinitely more interesting.)
MICHELLE OBAMA VS ELLEN IN PROM DRESS-OFF
You know how the typical reaction when looking back on one’s school formal photos is “OH MY EYES, MY BEAUTIFUL EYES! BURN IT! BURN IT WITH FIRE!”? Michelle Obama never does that. That’s because, as was revealed on the Ellen show this week, the first lady looked smoking hot at her prom. Girl, that thigh split is off the HOOK. Ellen, on the other hand... Well, just watch the video (all is revealed at 3:09).
BLOODY ELLE! RI-RI STRIPS AND DANCES FOR MAGAZINE
Rihanna is on the cover of American Elle this month, and the fashion mag has thoughtfully released a promotional video of the singer stripping down to her underwear, which should please the three people left on Earth who HAVEN’T already seen her boobs. The short film shows the pop star dancing in front of an open window in her bra, and later walking through a church in lacy black lingerie. You know, as you do. She also wears some trendy, fashiony outfits. Probably. I mean, who’s looking at the fashion? I’m a straight female and I can’t talk my eyes off Ri-Ri’s bangin’ bod. Ladies, don’t show this to your boyfriends.
