John Woo must be some kind of viral fashion genius, because his precisely rendered illustrations of Star Wars greats and cult comic book stars like The Joker and Catwoman are virtually impossible not to blog about. Woo has replaced his subjects' typical garb with altogether different kinds of fabulous costume. While putting Queen Amidala in Gareth Pugh and Cat Woman in Rick Owens both feel a little obvious to us, the menswear is pretty genius. Supreme looks like it was made for Boba Fett, Darth Vader is dapper in Band of Outsiders, a Scout Trooper helmet goes so well with Viktor and Rolf, the designers could have dreamed it up themselves, and while we think the lab-coated team behind Maison Martin Margiela would cringe at the thought of JarJar Binks donning their designs, we have to admit, they do go nicely with his skin tone. Can we have Princess Leia in Fleet Ilya next please?
